Simon Brown

Simon Brown is the owner and sole partner in the firm.

He has been practising criminal law since 1997 and qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in 2006. This means that the firm can deal at a hands on level with any criminal case from the Justice of the Peace Court to the High Court ensuring a continuity of representation and advice throughout.

A hugely experienced criminal solicitor, Mr Brown has also acted as a Criminal Peer Reviewer for the Scottish Legal Aid Board to monitor standards in other solicitors’ work. He is a Past Dean of Kilmarnock Faculty of Solicitors, and was also the Law Society representative for the local area for two terms, sitting on the board of the Law Society while he was there and chairing committees on Solicitor Advocate development and also legal education. He has also advised Scottish Government working groups on criminal law development.

Despite having practiced exclusively in criminal law since 1997, Mr Brown still very much enjoys the day to day interaction with clients and court work and is involved in all of the criminal work of the firm.
